I really adore my clients and I love getting to know them during the wedding planning process and after. The reason why I include an engagement session with most wedding package is so I can get to know my clients and get them used to being professionally photographed. You would be surprised how many people dislike having their picture taken and I am one of those people. Maybe that is why I like to hide behind my cameras.
Matt and Sharon planned and organized their wedding day themselves and they did it well. We started with a very sweet first look on the pond and then moved to their home for the ceremony and celebration. I really love the idea of first looks or seeing each other privately before the ceremony. It is a very sweet moment to photograph and it gives the couple a minute to soak in with what an important day it is. Wedding planning can be overwhelming and the emotion and importance of the event could get lost in the planning and the details. A first look makes it real in my opinion.
I really loved how Matt and Sharon kept their wedding intimate and fun. Their favorite movie is “Hitch” and they recreated the dance during their reception. Everyone was out of their seats and dancing down the aisle. Matt created a DIY Bar station full of recipes and alcohol to make signature drinks. Guest enjoyed an awesome picnic style lunch from Branch Street Deli. Then my favorite cake of all time, Arroyo Grande Bakery with amazing buttercream to die for. My amazing assistant Jay was there not just to help with my photography set up but also to help out in anyway for my clients. She is with me at every wedding and is there to help my client’s special day to run smoothly. She even comes with me to meet Brides at Bridal Shows through out the year. My team and I cannot wait to create beautiful wedding photos for you to cherish for a lifetime.
